Valerie grew up in a military family, which took her on exciting adventures around the world before she found her home in Hutchinson with her husband and two delightful children. With a heart for celebration, she co-founded Compass Occasions, where she brings events to life with creativity and care. Valerie also manages Art’s Place, a charming historic venue in the heart of downtown Hutchinson. Her deep love for the community shines through in her leadership at the chamber, where she is dedicated to making Hutchinson a lively and inviting destination for all.

California girl, turned Minnesota nice! Julie relocated from Southern California with her husband and son over 6 years ago. Trading grid lock for boating on any of the beautiful MN lakes, this “city girl” is in love with Hutchinson’s small town charm. At any given time you can find Julie planning events, traveling, socializing or helping with youth sports. Julie has always felt she’s been in the business of creating memories, and with over 20 years of event management and local government experience, there have been a lot of incredible memories made.

For 17 years, she and her husband have managed a beef ranch while raising their children in beautiful landscapes of Colorado. They recently returned to Hutchinson to create lasting memories in the community. Paula brings a wealth of financial experience to the table. With a strong foundation in financial management, she has successfully navigated the complexities of both personal and community finances, ensuring that resources are allocated wisely and effectively. She is excited to connect with fellow residents and businesses and contribute to the growth and prosperity of Hutchinson.
