Helping Hutchinson Shine: Citizens Bank Digital Sign Guidelines
Share Your Event. Share the Hutchinson Spirit.
The Citizens Bank Digital Sign is one of the most visible spots in Hutchinson, located at the corner of Highway 15 & Highway 7, right next to Utilities. It’s a major gateway to downtown and reaches over 9,000 people every day on both sides of the sign!
This digital sign helps us highlight events that invite people out, support local businesses, and celebrate everything that makes Hutchinson special.
Why We Use the Digital Sign
Our goal is simple:
To promote events that help people experience Hutchinson. That means spotlighting:
Community happenings
Events that bring us together and boost community pride, such as:
- Parades
- Holiday celebrations
- Seasonal activities
- Public recognition (teams heading to State, community awards, etc.)
Tourism-driven events
Think:
- Festivals
- Concerts
- Markets
- Tournaments
- Cultural events
Activities that bring people together
Including:
- Fish fries
- Pancake breakfasts
- Spaghetti feeds
- Citywide or fundraising garage sales
Things that build local support
Examples include:
- Hard pickup
- Citywide notices
Event Must Haves
To be eligible for the digital sign, your event must:
- Be submitted to the Community Event Calendar
- Be open to the public
- Take place in Hutchinson
What We Don’t Display
To keep the sign focused on community impact, we’re unable to display:
- Personal announcements (birthdays, retirements, etc.)
- Private fundraisers
- Single-home garage sales
- Business ads or sales promotions
- Political events
- Religious service schedules (unless part of a larger community event)
- Job postings or hiring ads
- Last-minute requests that don’t meet calendar guidelines
How Events Are Chosen
Here’s how it works:
- Chamber staff reviews events weekly
- Placement depends on:
- Community benefit
- Space available on the sign
- Event wording may be shortened to fit the screen
Submitting an event doesn’t guarantee placement, but we do our best to highlight as many great community events as possible.

How to Get Your Event Considered
Now’s the time to submit your event on the Community Event Calendar.
Submit your event here for approval:
Quick reminder:
If it’s not on the calendar, it can’t be displayed on the digital sign-no exceptions.
Don’t forget! If your event lives on the Community Calendar, then it lives on the Community App too!
