Let’s rally around each other and our community. Imagine a great big hug for everyone this holiday season. Let’s wrap Hutchinson in a big bright bow.
I, along with the Chamber Board, thinkLOCAL and the Hutchinson Downtown Association, am asking YOU and YOUR business to be part of the Christmas Spirit in 2020. We need and want you to put your best foot forward, THROW up some lights, ADD some holiday flair to your windows, your entry, your offices.
It sounds so simple, but really, we need to embrace each other and remember as we hit this big holiday season, and a new year, we are in this together.
TWO DATES to consider: November 28, and December 12.
Small Business Saturday (SBS) and Downtown Christmas
SBS is participation year number eight for the Chamber. We have given away over $25,000 these past few years, and this year we will be giving away money to shoppers again! We hope you’ll consider helping as well!
Downtown Christmas, December 12, will look and feel different, but we think for the good! Santa will arrive in town and wave to the kids, businesses will be giving out art kits and treats safely packaged, and you’ll be able to pick up your own copy of “Goodnight Hutchinson” at the chamber. The Downtown Association is looking to build good will toward all during the day, and they are working on other fun ideas for the day. As a business owner, please consider what you can do to add to the festivities.

USE an hour of time to have the staff help trim the Christmas tree, create a fun window decorating theme. Even those Bah-Hum-Bugs will appreciate some cider and fellowship with co-workers.

The weather may be frightful… I readily admit I am not a fan of snow and cold, but I LOVE Hutchinson, Minnesota. I think you do too!
