Agri-Business is a group of community members who focus on the educational and support needs of our agricultural businesses. Throughout the year Agri-Business hosts the February Ag Seminar, June Dairy Day, and a special program in conjunction with our neighbor the Glencoe Chamber- Farm Fatigue. These events can be found on our Community Calendar.
Ag Seminar is an event bringing together people from the diverse agricultural community including farmers, lenders, and suppliers. Annually, this event brings speakers from all over the Midwest to Hutchinson’s farming community. Tickets are available through sponsors and the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce.
The first Friday in June is Dairy Day in Hutchinson, MN! Right in Library Square, we bring the farm to downtown! Join us for a picnic lunch, fun farm animals, live music and a milking contest. Who will milk? Just wait to see. Join the McLeod Dairy Princesses, Miss Hutchinson Royalty and many more for this fun filled afternoon in the park!
Farm Fatigue is a GREAT program providing a respite for McLeod County Farmers who are literally out in the fields. Buckets of snacks, lunch, water, and other items to help them take a rest and take care of themselves are provided through many generous donors. Volunteers deliver these buckets out into the very fields farmers are working in. This program is well received by farmers and is facilitated in conjunction with the Hutchinson and Glencoe Chambers of Commerce.
