United Community Action Partnership is a non-profit who’s name was adopted through the merging of two organizations (Heartland Community Action Agency & Western Community Action) in 2016. UCAP has a rich history of helping people, changing lives and working to eliminate poverty by empowering individuals and strengthening communities. United Community Action started in 1964.
UCAP offers a wide variety of services to low income families, individuals and persons in need. They provide resources and referrals to persons in the area of housing, shelter, child care aware, energy assistance, Head Start preschool, Food Assistance, transportation and many additional resources! They believe that when you strengthen a family you strengthen a community. Thus when your community supports the families you serve, everyone becomes more self-sufficient and resilient to challenges.
