About The Paint Factory
The Paint Factory first opened in Hutchinson almost four years ago and didn’t just bring another unique business to our town, but a unique experience as well. It doesn’t matter if you’re a talented artist, or if you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since elementary school – The owner, Tara Tepley, tells us, “It brings me so much joy to see people enter the studio afraid of how their paintings will turn out and leave with a created masterpiece.” Even if you still have some doubts that you’ll be walking away with a masterpiece, the most important thing is you know you’ll always enjoy yourself when you’re at The Paint Factory. It’s a chance to get away for a couple of hours and unleash creativity in ways many of us don’t get to anymore.
Beyond just offering something unique to Hutchinson, The Paint Factory also offers a variety. You can view their online calendar to see what canvas paintings are on the docket, and they now offer several pallet painting classes as well. Their team has also started painting on plywood and burlap – there is always something different to try!
What a lot of people might not know is how much The Paint Factory likes to give back. Tara and her mother are both Breast Cancer survivors so at the end of each paint class they sell the instructor’s demo painting and 100% of the funds go to a local family who is going through cancer treatment. They also host monthly fundraisers for local non-profits to help them spread the word about their organizations.
What’s Happening in December?
December is a special time for The Paint Factory. Ladies Night is taking place on December 12th and The Paint Factory will be partnering with a couple of local businesses to make it a truly special night – this sells out every year so make sure you contact The Paint Factory now to see how you can be a part of it! This month they will also be featuring an Open Paint / Open Pallet night on Monday December 18th, complete with Karaoke and an Ugly Sweater Competition where you can when some great prizes. The studio has also taken on the look of “Whoville” from a recent “Grinch” event, so it’s sure to be a fun and festive time.
Lastly in December, The Paint Factory will be teaming up with Hutchinson Family Dentistry and New Era Financial Shad Ketcher to bring you two classic Christmas movies on the big screen at Century 9 Theaters. They will be screening “White Christmas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 11am and 2pm on December 24th for FREE, along with complimentary cookies, cider and coffee! Bring the whole family, but don’t forget to bring an item to donate to the food shelf.
The January calendar will be up and running soon and anyone who follows The Paint Factory on social media will be the first to know about their early bird registration every month where there are special prices on their classes.
