The following is a press release from the Hutchinson Area Community Foundation on August 14, 2014.
Members of the Law Enforcement Park Committee reviewed construction progress of the Law Enforcement Park. This project has been possible via many donations from community members, businesses and police officers. The Hutchinson Area Community Foundation has served as the fiscal agent for the Law Enforcement Park Project. Reviewing the progress left to right, Robert Hantge, Hutchinson Area Community Foundation President; Juli Neubarth, Committee Member, Joe Nagel, Police Officer and Committee Chairman; Lenny Rutledge, City of Hutchinson.
Shown in the photo below is the Stainless Steel 10’ “Portal” featuring the cut-out of a police officer. Just to the East of the Portal will be a bronze statue of a police officer. The design was created by Deb (Knutson) Zeller.
A dedication is planned for October 20, 2014.
