Arts & Crafts Festival: Meet some of the Vendors!

We are all excited about the selection of vendors that will be at the 42nd Annual Arts & Crafts Festival on September 16th & 17th  Keep scrolling for a little sneak peek on some of the vendors!

Michelle Moody- “Just a Little Moody”

“I have been making bath and beauty product for myself and my loved ones for years. It wasn’t until ten years ago that I decided to try to begin selling what I make. It all began because I was tired of not knowing what was in the products I used daily or not being able to pronounce all the ingredients. I soon found that I liked what I made more than what I could easily buy and so did others… and so Just a Little Moody was born!” -Michelle Moody

Jena & Aron Levandowski – “Levandowski Pottery”

Levandowski Pottery was established in April 2003, when Jena brought Aron a set of pottery tools and a membership to community studio in Minneapolis. They each began with two shelves of space in this studio, which they quickly outgrew, so they decided to expand and share a full rack of shelves.  They now form 4-5 tons of clay per year into the pots they share during their open houses, traveling shows and in galleries across Minnesota.

“From the mines of Minnesota to the quarries thru out the United States, we have created a unique candle concept with an original look for each and every rock.  No two rocks will ever look exactly the same.” – Riki McManus

Dairy Day Celebration

Dairy Day- Thank You!

On June 3rd, 2016 the Hutchinson Chamber, with the Agri Business Committee, held the annual Dairy Day Celebration. With cloudy skies and threats of rain, it looked to be a gloomy day. Luckily we were able to make a quick decision and have the event at the McLeod County Fairground. With Cow Milking, Fro Yo eating contest and more, the event was full of fun activities. We would like to thank all the sponsors that make Dairy Day possible. This event wouldn’t be possible without your support! We hope to see everyone again next year.

“We love these!”

table tent for November 2013

“We love these!”  This is what we often hear when people refer to the Hutchinson Chamber Table Tents, you know those things on the tables at our area restaurants that lists what’s happening in Hutchinson.  Every few months someone stops in to ask about them, how they are made, what our process is, etc.  These people want to bring the information back to their town, so their community can do it too.  We know the people in Hutchinson are thankful for them.  When we are out delivering the tents we often get comments about how excited people are to see what will be happening in the next few months.

Table tents are printed quarterly for events held in Hutchinson. Any organization may submit an event for the quarterly table tents at a cost of $20.00 for Chamber members and $30.00 for non-members, per event.  Events may be submitted at any time for future events, but must be submitted no later than the following deadlines per quarter:

Table Tents Schedule:
1st Quarter (January, February, March) Deadline to submit events for these months is December 1st
2nd Quarter (April, May, June) Deadline to submit events for these months is March 1st
3rd Quarter (July, August, September) Deadline to submit events for these months is June 1st
4th Quarter (October, November, December) Deadline to submit events for these months is September 1st

A table tent listing consists of: the event name, event date, and event location.

We also ask the people who are submitting the event  to list their event on the online community calendar.  This is a great way to give more details about the event.  Submitting an event to the online community calendar is easy and FREE!

To submit an event online:
1. Go to www.explorehutchinson.com
2. Click “Community Calendar”
3. Click “Submit New Event” under where it says “View Full Calendar”
4. Enter event information & click submit for approval

Table tent events may be submitted via email to Gina, via phone at 320-234-0786, or in person at the Hutchinson Chamber & Tourism office.

This is a service that we truly enjoy being able to provide for our  community, and we are happy to hear that so many other people appreciate them!
